Pagham Birder: The Blog

A regular account of the birds seen mainly on and around Pagham Spit, the Lagoon and the North Wall plus other birding exploits from time to time.
Any news of interest regarding the ongoing erosion problems on Pagham Beach will, from now on, be shown on my other blog together with general beach photos.. Click on the link... Pagham Beach Blog on this page.

A very hot day!

A quick walk to the Breech Pool revealed a couple of Common Sandpipers and most of the usual contenders....Black Tailed Godwit, Whimbrel, Curlew etc.

Rather more unusually a pair  of Avocets dropped into the Breech Pool....
....at ...at the far side of the pool so really too distant for a photograph.

A distant shot of a Whimbrel.

Flight shot of Black Tailed Godwit

A pair of Grey Wagtails were at the Sluice Gate but I was not quick enough to capture.

Back home a Wheatear was present on the fence!

The best photo of the morning on my doorstep!

Incidentally a Black Swan has been frequenting the Lagoon for the past few days.
