June.....a quiet month for birds.

June has been a busy month on the domestic front but not so good for birding. Hopefully this will all change soon but here are few photos just to prove there were a few 'birding' moments.

The Swallows have been very active in the stables by the North Wall

A Cuckoo has been seen regularly feasting on caterpillars on Pagham Spit.

This Little Egret was a surprise visitor to the garden pond...the downside was that 20 goldfish went missing!

This Green Woodpecker took a liking to the telegraph pole outside our bungalow.

House Sparrows have made good use of the nest boxes put up for them.

Oystercatcher alongside the Lagoon in the harbour.

A Black Headed Gull on the marsh.

A Shelduck with family in the almost dried up Breech Pool

A young Little Egret in Owl Copse along the North Wall

..and nearby, a group of young Grey Herons waiting to be fed.

That's it for now.
 July will be better...hopefully!
