Revetment progress

These rocks arrived  late evening last night.

Work continues on the rock revetment and a further barge load of rocks arrived on this mornings high tide.

Discharging rocks on the beach this morning.
 Later, the rocks were taken truck by truck to the groyne whereupon two JCBs carefully manoeuvred   the rock piece by piece into position.





 The mother ship Rekefjord and the barge Charlie Rock and the tug have now departed. 
A further consignment of rocks from Cornwall are due later next week.
Work continues under floodnight this evening.

Bird News

Little to report apart from a Kingfisher fishing near the original harbour entrance. Numbers of Brent continue to increase.
