Eiders and others...

This morning was another 'perfect' morning....6.45a.m. on the Spit.

The Eider Ducks were showing well....they were reported several weeks ago but were too far out in the centre of the harbour to photograph...today they were just off the Spit.

Several Wheatears were present and posed well in the morning light...

A few photos from last week.....
The off shore Rampion wind farm under construction...from Pagham Beach just before sunrise.

A flock of Canada geese appeared one morning on the Lagoon
.....amongst the flock,  a bit of an oddity!
A morning on the North wall....
Teal

Willow Warbler

Heron on the prowl!

Redshank

Black Tailed Godwit

Whimbrel in flight.

*************
...and finally, late afternoon from the living room window Hirundines descended on the railings.

Up and away.

...a sure sign autumn is on its way.
