Hebridean Magic
Having just returned from an Island Hopping holiday in the Scottish Hebrides it is time to sort my photographs....no mean task with over 2000 images to edit! We started off by taking the ferry to Coll and after 3 days went on to Tiree. Then it was onto Islay and Colonsay and every island had its own very different 'flavour'. Birdlife was evident everywhere with the nesting season in full swing. Highlights incuded Corncrakes calling on all the islands but VERY illusive. I did manage to obtain one out of focus shot of a Corncrakes head but that was it! Perhaps it is a good excuse to have to return next year for another attempt!! Choughs were a lot easier to locate and Hen Harriers, although present, were not easy to capture. Nevertheless I will post my poor efforts here, later.
