A late Wheatear.

Managed to get out before the rain came and found a Merlin perched on the roof of the Spit hide (which has obviously been used again recently overnight). It saw me and dashed off, low over the gorse and over the Little Lagoon before disappearing from view along the beach at high speed.

During the morning a Wheatear arrived on our patio and, looking very miserable and bedraggled,  made off down the beach path...probably the last I will see 'til next spring.
My last Wheatear?
